For repairs or replacement to front facing cameras in the X series Range, although the pixel specs are equal to an original apple installed camera and our replacement parts are OEM. facial unlock may not work after this repair due to Apples serialisation of parts at the stage of original assembly. The mother board will talk to the camera to determined if it is the original camera installed at the time of manufacture assembly. If the mother board gets an unknown serial report from the parts installed regardless of the parts being original IE (parts being swapped over from another original iPhone with original parts) or aftermarket it will disable functions to channel customers back to Apple for repairs where they will upload a compatible serial number to the part and make the mother board function properly again.
