Hardened Steel Extruder Gear Assembly

Overview

The Hardened Steel Extruder Gear Assembly is a replacement internal component for the hardened steel extruder unit. It consists of a driven gear and active gear that work together to reliably feed filament into the hotend for consistent 3D printing performance.

Made from durable hardened steel, this extruder gear assembly provides excellent abrasion resistance when printing with demanding engineering filaments. It is particularly suitable for abrasive, fibre-reinforced materials such as PAHT-CF and PET-CF, helping deliver reliable and long-lasting performance during extended printing.

The P1 Series Extruder Unit is supplied with stainless steel extruder gears as standard. For users who regularly print with abrasive engineering filaments such as PAHT-CF and PET-CF, the stainless steel gears can be upgraded to hardened steel extruder gears for improved wear and abrasion resistance.
